Next Step Realty is inspired to announce the feature of their very own team member, Jojo Olaseha, in last month’s issue of Baltimore Business Journal. Over three years ago, Jojo decided to be bold and desire a career greater than discriminatory remarks and limited support. Olaseha speaks about her experience as a black woman and demonstrates the importance of never giving up on her dreams or the commitment to hard work.
With that in mind, Jojo exceeded all expectations of success and within months of her license, “she had $1 million dollars worth of real estate under contract.” When it came to the next steps for Jojo, she thought about the legacy she wanted to provide for black women in the community, along with proving to her daughter that “black women are thriving.”
Jojo met with Next Step Realty and embarked on the new journey of leading a team of entirely black women, Jojo & Associates, “the company has been supportive, open to learning and makes a point to talk about racism and diversity at roundtable discussions.” Moving forward, Jojo became the owner of KMD Property Management along with running Jojo & Associates within Next Step Realty. Olaseha continues to give gratitude to black women for the success she has today along with doing what is best for the city of Baltimore.
Jojo Olaseha is a true testament of the necessity in “working hard as a black woman” and states that, “my generation is determined to build wealth, we are setting up our future so we can give that to our children.”
Next Step Realty thanks Carley Milligan and her team at Baltimore Business Journal for their feature of Jojo Olaseha.
